LOVE AND HATE YOU BETWEEN IT ALL

      Sometimes I hate you
      even though I love you.
      Love brings pain.
      I knew that then
      as I know that now.
      It's the pain of you
      that I hate.

      I love your soul
but I hate your mind. yes

      I love your hands
      but hate your fingers.

      I love your eyes
      but hate what they see.

      I love your mouth
      but hate what it says.

      I love your ears
      but hate what they hear.

      I love your feet
      but hate where they've been.

      I hate your touch
      but I love your embrace.

I love your sweet, kind face.

I hate it when you drink.

      The person you become
      - that is who I hate.

      I love
      and I hate.

And you are between it all.
