Poems
LIFE WITH YOU IN IT
we ride out to a close
town our words be
coming tangled in a
web of disillusion
sea gulls rattle the
car's roof in the shoe
shop i more than
look knowing ten
dollars doesn't go
far i walk alone
to the park bench in
my mind my cat is
pining too much is
too much until we
arrive and i hold
your hand and tell
you life is not life
without you in it
and wave you off
memories tumbling
about me as i look in
the mirror my eyes
made of glass
