      POEM

I'll devour myself in front of you
      and the pip of this
      sets in my stomach
      and turns to an architect
      Who will wait magically
to be pulled out of the lake
      by his hair
      The memory glove stays on
I think of all the things I've done
      l'll never do again

      POEM

      Your sweet red vestal cheeks
      match the colour
      of my ape heart
And we sway to the sound of
      a red oil rose
and your song will never get old
it will always have the purity
      the young do
And in my chest the carnival starts
      Blessed are my eyes
For seeing the inspired line of you
      The touch of your skin
Like a lip on a peach
      You say you love my
      words
      they are my wing span
      and you are my spine
      you control every beat

      NIGHT FLIGHT

Kid comes in like a hurricane and sees her
      Doesn't say excuse me
Just puts a cape on her shoulder
      Says "come with me"
      Are we singing yet?
I don't wanna come down again
In this sweet hour my heart is a child
Under her clothes his cruel truth smiles
      Good demon on my shoulder
      Says "come with me"
      Are we singing yet?
I don't wanna come back down again
This night is for the ghosts that will never catch me
      Let me down
      Starving for the sound
      Of the silent rose
      That blooms on your lips
All drunk with a girl at his feet
Or sober with a belly of fear
On his mirror her lipstick goodbye
      "You ran from me"
      Am I singing yet?
      Cos never coming down again.
