      CLAUDE'S CIGARETTE

      The smoke rose from his
      cigarette
      it twists and turns
      exotic beauty
      great danger
      ash and arteries
      mix and mingle

      WALLS OF LOUVRE

      Standing where there
      once walked the feet
      of many a king
      lie secret chambers
      that hold the secrets
      of the world's
      civilisations
      as silent gods
      crave to endure
      the admiration of
      the new world

      DAY IN AUTUMN

      Windy day
      blown seagulls
      Swept foam
      topped waves
      Trees bent twice
      above sweating rocks
      a day of movement
      and plaintive calls
