      REST IN PEACE

I entered the mausoleum of the dead
The coffin on the velvet catafaulque
      On the road to Hell
      Flowers choking the air
Taking the very oxygen of the living
Sweltering in 90 degree heat in an
      Airless tomb......
I looked into the face that seemed
To smile in am eternal grin
Rosary Beads held in clasped hands
      The ethereal
The mystique of Heaven on Earth
      Not of this Earth.....
      Sharing space with McDonald's
      Big Mac
      And Angelo's Pizzerria.....
