About the Authors
DAVIDE TRAME is an Italian teacher of English writing poems exclusively in English since 1993, they have been published in around one hundred literary magazines since 1999, in U.K, U.S. and elsewhere. Recently in “Poetry New Zealand” and “New Contrast” (South Africa). He lives in Venice.
DAN GALLIK lives and writes in the USA and is excited because his first novel A Sort of Dumb Fate is being published later this year by Publish America. It's the tale of a child with multiple disabilities being raised in the 50's. It is part autobiographical.
LEICESTER KYLE lives on the West Coast of he South Island of New Zealand and has published many poems in various publications as well as being well known as an editor and publisher.
ISHA WAGNER lives and writes in Dunedin and as well as poetry, writes short stories and novels. Published in past issues of Southern Ocean Review.
MARY CRESSWELL is from Los Angeles and lives on the Kapiti Coast. She is co-author of Millionaire's Shortbread (Univ of Otago, 2003) and has published poems in NZ, the UK, Australia, Canada and the US. By day, she is a research science/medical copy-editor and proofreader.
FRASER SUTHERLAND is a writer and lexicographer who lives in Toronto, Canada. His most recent of seven poetry collections is Peace and War (with Goran Simic).
MARK PIRIE lives, works and writes in Wellington, New Zealand. Publisher of JAAM magazine and various books of poetry and stories, anthologies, etc. His work has been published in many magazines in NZ and overseas over the last 10 years.
RUTH ARNISON started life in Oamaru and has lived in various South Island and English towns since. She is now settled in Dunedin with Barry and their two teenage sons. Her work has previously appeared in Takahe, Southern Ocean Review, the ODT and is due to appear in Current Accounts and Cadenza.
RICHARD M. REEVE was born in Dunedin, New Zealand, in 1976. He is NOT the author of 'The Education of Charlie' (published by his English namesake in this web-journal). Reeve is the author of two books of poetry, Dialectic of Mud (2001) and The Life and the Dark (2004), both published by Auckland University Press. A third and fourth manuscript are both in the pipes.
PETER OLDS lives and writes in Dunedin, New Zealand. He has published many books of poetry and his work has been published in many magazines since the 1960's. Presently publishing a Broadsheet series of poems by well known writers (The Broadsheet company).
JAN FITZGERALD was born in 1950 and published in NZ literary magazines under her maiden name of Jan Coad.. More recently published by Poetry NZ, Takahe, Bracado, Spin, Kokako, Valley Micropress.
BARRY SOUTHAM lives in Christchurch, New Zealand. He has published a number of books of poetry and a book of short stories. He has had work published in many NZ and overseas magazines. His latest book is of poems and stories, called "Footprints on a Gravel Road", and is available now.
BELINDA DEIPENHEIM lives in Ashurst, NZ. Her poems have previously been published in Poetry New Zealand, Trout, Takahe and Valley Micropress.
ROBERT McLEAN is a 30 year old writer and musician living in Christchurch, New Zealand. His poems have been published in JAAM, Poetry New Zealand, Bravado, Takahe, Catalyst, Poetry Aotearoa, and Spin, and online at Blackmail Press, Pemmican Press, Cordite, and The Bathyspheric Review.
GARY LANGFORD is the author of many books of poetry and fiction, living in Australia but returning to New Zealand soon.
DAVID SCHWARTZ is the author of A Jewish Appraisal of Dialogue, and co-author, with Jacqueline Winston, of Parables In Black and White. Currently a volunteer at Drake Hospital in Cincinnati, Schwartz continues to write. His new book, Midrash and Working Out Of The Book is now in stores or can be ordered.

NEAL DORENBOSCH lives in southern Utah with his wife and six-year-old daughter and
works as a vocational evaluator to pay the mortgage. A mediocre Golden
Gloves boxer at one time, he eventually discovered beer a less painful way
of achieving altered states of consciousness. Neal's poetry and fiction is
forthcoming or has mysteriously appeared in places like The Crucible, The
Dead Mule, Literary Potpourri, New Era, The Blue Moon Review, Lily Literary
Review, Fiction Warehouse, Collected Stories and the Southern Cross Review.
KAYE AXON is the winner of the International Library of Poetry's Editor's Choice for her competition entry published in A Quiet Storm, prolific writer and poet Kaye was born in 1973 and grew up in and around Leicester. As a long term vegan and travel addict her poems often reflect her travels through life. With several hundred poems published and/or self published worldwide Kaye is beginning to expand her writing to include reviews, articles and short stories.

TREVOR REEVES began writing in the late 1960's and has three collections, published in the 1970's, to his credit. Editor and publisher of Caveman Press and now Square One Press, he is a co-editor of Southern Ocean Review with Judith Wolfe. His writing has appeared throughout the world and includes fiction as well as poetry and critical writing and reviews. A collection of stories, "Breaker Breaker and other stories" appeared this in 2001. His poems, "A poetry book to cuddle up in bed with" appeared in 2003.
JUDITH WOLFE lives in Dunedin, New Zealand. She is an artist, designer and sculptor and has exhibited widely throughout New Zealand. Some of her works have been in travelling exhibitions overseas. Recent exhibitions at the Empire Cinema, guest artist at the Wanaka Art Group Exhibition, August 1997 and exhibited in the Warbirds Over Wanaka air show exhibition, Easter, 1998, and the Cleveland Art Awards, Dunedin, October 1998, and the Columba College exhibition 1999.
