About the Authors
TERRY SANVILLE lives in San Luis Obispo, California with his artist-poet wife, Marguerite Costigan (his in-house editor) and two cats (his in-house critics). He writes full time and is also an accomplished jazz and blues guitarist. Since 2005, Terry’s short stories have appeared in more than 35 literary and commercial journals and anthologies including, R-kv-ry Journal, The Arabesques Review, La Fenetre Journal, Falling Star Magazine, and Storyteller.
MARTIN JONES - born in Zambia, bred in New Zealand, now lives in Christchurch. Has had stories published in magazines in New Zealand and Japan. Likes skydiving.
MATTHEW SMITH is a 25-yearold writer from South Australia who has mainly had poetry published and is looking to build on his prose skills.
MOLLY SMITH lives in Elizabethtown, Indiana where she is attending college to obtain a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English. She has enjoyed reading and writing her entire life, but has just recently began writing seriously. This past year she has had several short stories published in various online magazines including: Bewildering Stories, Events Quarterly and Burst.
LAURA SOLOMON was born in New Zealand in 1974, and has lived in London since 1999. She has an honours degree in English Literature (Victoria University, NZ, 1997) and a Masters degree in Computer Science (University of London, 2003) and currently works as an IT consultant. She has published two novels in New Zealand with Tandem Press: 'Black Light' (1996) and 'Nothing Lasting' (1997). Her first play, 'The Dummy Bride', was produced as part of the Wellington Fringe Festival, and her second, based on her short story, 'Sprout', was part of the 2004 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Her short story 'Sprout' won a prize in the 2004 Bridport International Short Story competition and her short story 'The Most Ordinary Man in the World' won a prize in the same competition in 2005. Another story is to be included in the next Pretend Genius anthology 'New Short Stories 1' after entering the Willesden Herald Competition which was judged by Zadie Smith. Other short stories and poems appear in New Zealand magazines.
JAMES STARK recently completed a writing program at the University of Washington, USA, where he lives in Seattle with his wife and children. His work has appeared in Pulse magazine, SNReview, spoiledink, and wordriot. He is delighted to join SOR.

TOLU OGUNLESI was born in 1982. He is the author of a collection of poetry Listen to the Geckos Singing From a Balcony (Bewrite Books, UK, 2004). His fiction and poetry have appeared in Wasafiri, The Obituary Tango (Caine Prize Anthology 2006), Sable, Orbis, Eclectica, and elsewhere, and are forthcoming in Tipton Poetry Journal and Jelly Paint. In 2007 he won a Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg poetry prize. He currently lives in Lagos, Nigeria.

CHRISTY GIBBS was born in Auckland but is now living in Hamilton where she is pursuing a degree in English and Religious Studies at the University of Waikato. This is the first publication of her poetry and she intends to start writing novels once she finishes writing essays for university. Her interests besides reading and writing include swimming, Paganism and Japanese animation.

JUDITH WOLFE lives in Dunedin, New Zealand. She is an artist, designer and sculptor. She has exhibited widely throughout New Zealand and some of her works have been in travelling exhibitions overseas. Recent exhibitions at the Empire Cinema, guest artist at the Wanaka Art Group Exhibition, August 1997 and exhibited in the Warbirds Over Wanaka air show exhibition, Easter, 1998, and the Cleveland Art Awards, Dunedin, October 1998, and 2001 Also the Columba College exhibition 1999. Two exhibitions, 2000, 2001 and 2003 at the Community Art Gallery, Dunedin NZ. Prolific book illustrator including "In the Grip of Evil" Reeves/Wolfe, History of Cobb and co and Dear Pal (stories of the Maniototo). Home Page
